Now that the summer is almost here, what’s everyone thinking about? Beach bodies! Yep, your’e probably looking at yourself thinking, do I still fit into last year’s suit? Do I like the way I look in last year’s suit?
I’m not saying that you have to have a perfect beach bod BUT it is healthy for everyone to get some exercise in now and again.
So, what’s a good way to exercise without actually thinking you’re exercising? Belly dance!
What if your schedule is super hectic and you can’t make it to a class? And the thought of Skype lessons isn’t your thing. You want a physical instructor that can make adjustments for you right there. A bellydance happy hour is just the thing!
Don’t let the name happy hour fool you, there doesn’t have to be alcohol involved. It’s just a way to describe an hour of fun with your friends! You can have a belly dance happy hour in your own home and don’t have to worry about being at a gym with a bunch of lug-heads walking around.
Also, it doesn’t have to be just once. You can host one every month if you like!
What does it entail?
Well, there are (of course) a variety of options.
You can have an hour lesson with you and your girlfriends. You can choose to add on t-shirts or hipscarves to make it even more jingly sparkly and FUN.
Within the lesson you are taught movements and combinations that you can then apply to music. You are also given handouts so you don’t have to worry about trying to remember what everything was called and how the combinations are put together!
Just know that you don’t have to do it all at once. You can have as many happy hours as you like! (as an additional perk the hostess’s lesson is free!) Or you can choose to transition to Skype lessons once you realize how much you love belly dance and what a great workout it is for you.
It’s just a great way to giggle, shimmy and get a workout without even feeling like it!
